The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join an established nursing home near Whitstable on a permanent basis. The home supports a varied resident group, including individuals requiring rehabilitation, general nursing care and nursing dementia care. This is a full-time day position working 36 hours per week, based around 12.25-hour shifts. The rota will include a mixture of weekdays and weekends.
The successful nurse will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care while working closely with the wider care team to ensure residents receive safe and effective support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in line with individual care plans.
- Assess, plan, implement and review residents' nursing needs.
- Administer and manage medication safely and accurately.
- Monitor residents' health and respond appropriately to any changes.
- Support residents with general nursing, rehabilitation and dementia-related needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
- Work closely with care staff, healthcare professionals and residents' families.
- Support and guide members of the care team where required.
- Ensure safeguarding, infection control and clinical procedures are followed.
- Promote residents' dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
What We're Looking For
- Essential: Registered General Nurse (RGN).
- Current NMC registration.
- Previous nursing experience within the UK.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to work confidently as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
- Comfortable working a rota that includes weekends.
- A genuine commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care.
- Previous experience within a nursing home, elderly care, rehabilitation or dementia setting would be particularly advantageous.
