Key Responsibilities

  • Section Management: Prepare, cook, and present dishes to exact company standards while running a specific kitchen section efficiently during service.
  • Quality & Consistency: Ensure all food produced meets high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Stock & Food Safety: Maintain strict compliance with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and HACCP regulations, assisting with inventory management, stock rotation, and wastage control.
  • Team Collaboration: Support junior kitchen staff (Commis Chefs) and work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Menu Support: Contribute creative ideas to seasonal menu developments and special offerings.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Proven background as a Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef ready for the next step up.
  • Qualifications: Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred) and formal culinary training/NVQ qualifications are advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong knife skills, solid understanding of core culinary techniques, and ability to handle high-volume service.
  • Attitude: Reliable, calm under pressure, a strong team player, and driven by a genuine passion for food quality.
