Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client based in West Bromwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with previous experience within transport, logistics or fleet operations. The successful candidate will ideally have a good understanding of vehicles, transport compliance and transport planning, as well as being confident using CRM systems. Polish-speaking skills would be highly desirable for this position.

The Role:

  • Support the day-to-day planning and coordination of transport operations, ensuring vehicles and drivers are scheduled efficiently, and all relevant compliance requirements are maintained.
  • Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules and routes.
  • Allocating vehicles and drivers to ensure the efficient running of operations.
  • Monitoring vehicle movements and resolving any issues or delays.
  • Maintaining accurate records using in-house CRM and transport systems.
  • Ensuring transport operations remain compliant with relevant company and legal requirements.
  • Liaising with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Dealing with transport-related queries and operational issues.
  • Completing general administration associated with transport planning and fleet operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience within transport planning, logistics or fleet operations.
  • Good knowledge of vehicles and transport operations.
  • An understanding of transport compliance.
  • Experience using CRM or transport management systems.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The flexibility to work 6:00am starts.
  • Polish-speaking skills would be highly desirable, although not essential.

  • Location: West Bromwich
  • Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Start Time: 6:00am
