Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. Home Decarbonisation - We’re working to eliminate fuel poverty, providing end-to-end management in energy efficiency and carbon reduction. Our team works closely with homeowners and local authority partners to provide home energy advice to prepare for Net Zero.

As part of an ambitious technology transformation programme, we're modernising our systems and processes to create a more connected, customer-focused experience. This role will play a key part in that journey. We are offering flexible hybrid office-home working, with travel to our offices as required (Aylesbury, Sutton and Bury St Edmunds).

What will you be doing? As our Senior Product Owner - Customer Centric Systems, you'll take ownership of a major Salesforce CRM transformation, helping scale a newly implemented platform across multiple programmes and clients. You’ll work at the intersection of technology, operations and business change, ensuring product development delivers meaningful outcomes for customers, colleagues and the wider business. You’ll be:

  • Leading the product roadmap, backlog and delivery priorities for Salesforce-based customer and retrofit journeys
  • Driving the next phase of our CRM transformation, migrating programmes from Zoho into Salesforce
  • Translating business requirements into scalable product solutions that deliver real business value
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, technical specialists, architects and third-party development partners
  • Defining and refining user stories, acceptance criteria and sprint priorities
  • Overseeing testing, deployment and continuous improvement activities
  • Managing competing priorities, risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Supporting business readiness activities including communications, training and adoption planning
  • Leading, coaching and supporting Product Owners and Business Analysts within the wider team
  • Working with senior leadership to shape strategic decisions, investment priorities and future product direction
  • Ensuring customer, operational and commercial objectives remain at the centre of all product decisions

This is a highly visible role where you'll have the opportunity to influence transformation at scale while delivering lasting improvements to customer experience and operational performance.

What you'll bring: We're looking for an experienced Product Owner who combines strong technical understanding with excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. You'll have:

  • Significant experience in Product Owner, Lead Product Owner or Product Management roles
  • A proven track record delivering complex technology and digital transformation programmes
  • Experience leading Salesforce implementations, ideally including Service Cloud environments
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and product lifecycle management
  • Experience working with third-party development partners, systems integrators or external vendors
  • The ability to translate business challenges into practical and scalable technical solutions
  • Strong backlog management, prioritisation and roadmap planning skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including at senior leadership level
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience within energy, utilities, retrofit, housing or regulated industries
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Field Service (FSL)
  • Salesforce, Scrum or SAFe certifications
  • Experience supporting organisational change and user adoption activities
