We're looking for a POS Technical Lead to take ownership of a major retail checkout modernisation programme in Birmingham (Oldbury). This is a 12-month contract focused on evolving POS platforms, improving automation and supporting next-generation checkout solutions across large retail environments.
You'll lead the technical direction across POS architecture, self-checkout, peripheral integration and automation, working closely with engineering, architecture, platform and business teams.

Self-Checkout (SCO) and retail checkout technologies
Store Controller and POS peripheral integration
Selenium Grid and Cucumber BDD
POS emulation, device virtualisation and hardware abstraction
SonarQube and code quality
AI-powered quality engineering and test automation
