Pertemps West Bromwich are currently seeking FLT drivers/overhead crane operatives on a rotating shift pattern.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a well-established and growing company.

Key Responsibilities

Operate overhead crane moving steel to various locations around the factory.

Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to transport finished products to goods out areas

Use of in house computer systems to monitor stock/inventory and to book goods in/out.

Ensure machines are running efficiently and safely.

Banding and palletising finished goods.

Monitor quality of materials and finished products, ensuring they meet company standards.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery as required.

Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets and deadlines.

Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

What Were Looking For

Previous experience operating overhead cranes, ideally working with metal.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.

Flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern.

Great attitude and willingness to learn

This role will be working on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday with pay varying from £12.76 to £14.95 dependant on experience.
