You'll play an important role in creating an enjoyable dining experience while supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities As Chef, your duties will include: Preparing and cooking nutritious, high-quality meals for residents.
Supporting the Chef Manager in the day-to-day management of the catering team.
Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety are maintained at all times.
Carrying out risk assessments and following food safety procedures.
Taking responsibility for the kitchen and catering team in the Chef Manager's absence.
Assisting with menu planning to provide varied, balanced meals that meet residents' dietary needs.
Working collaboratively with the wider care home team to deliver an exceptional service.
About You The successful candidate will be an experienced Chef with a passion for quality food and excellent customer service.
You will have: Previous experience working as a Chef within hospitality, catering or a care environment.
A valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
City & Guilds 706/1 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering/Hospitality (or equivalent).
Ideally, a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
A genuine passion for preparing fresh, high-quality meals.
A positive attitude and a proactive approach to your work.
The confidence to work independently and take responsibility when required.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner when interacting with residents, families and colleagues.
