Warehouse Operatives Required - Wellingborough

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join a busy warehouse operation based in Wellingborough. This is a hands-on warehouse role where you will support the movement, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of stock. The successful candidate will be expected to work accurately, safely and efficiently while helping maintain high standards across the warehouse.

The Role

  • Picking customer orders accurately using scanners, pick sheets or warehouse systems
  • Packing and preparing goods ready for dispatch
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely
  • Receiving, checking and booking in deliveries
  • Putting stock away into the correct warehouse locations
  • Replenishing picking locations when required
  • Supporting stock counts and inventory checks
  • Moving and relocating stock around the warehouse
  • Keeping products handled carefully to reduce damage or waste
  • Working towards daily individual and team targets
  • Operating Material Handling Equipment when trained and authorised
  • Supporting general warehouse organisation and housekeeping

Health & Safety

You will be expected to:

  • Follow all site health and safety procedures
  • Use equipment and machinery safely and correctly
  • Wear the correct PPE at all times
  • Report hazards, incidents, damages or near misses promptly
  • Keep your working area clean, tidy and safe
  • Work in line with company quality and operational standards

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous warehouse or logistics experience
  • Understand general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, goods-in and dispatch
  • Can work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Can communicate well with colleagues and supervisors
  • Are flexible and willing to support different areas of the warehouse when required

Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:

  • PPT, LLOP, Reach Truck, Counterbalance or VNA
  • Handheld scanners
  • Warehouse Management Systems
  • Stock control or inventory processes
  • High-volume distribution or logistics environments
