About the role
- Be the Quality Assurance lead for the site, ensuring site standards for BRCGS and customer codes of practices.
- Liaise with Production, H&S, Hygiene and Engineering Managers to ensure the same standard of operation across all shifts.
- Oversee the internal auditing program to ensure all reported non-conformances are closed out in a timely manner.
- BRCGS and customer non-conformances are closed out in full in a timely manner.
- Traceability documentation is completed in full and verified.
- Be a core member of the HACCP, VACCP and TACCP teams.
- To be the technical lead for site tours during BRCGS and customer audits/ visits.
- To approve technically new product development and projects.
- To work cross functionally with Group technical departments.
- To conduct technical training and briefings to internal departments.
- Technical department budget controls.
- To cover for the Hygiene Manager during absences.
- To deputise for the Technical Manager during absences.

- Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of: BRCGS standards, HACCP, VACCP and TACCP, Food safety legislation, Quality management systems, Internal and external auditing, Traceability and compliance requirements.

- Confidence leading customer and certification audits.
- Comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences.
