Our Client is a newly registered 4-bed residential childrens home they support children and young people aged 717 who have emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs.

The Role
We are seeking caring, resilient, and motivated Residential Support Workers. You will play a vital role in the daily lives of our young people, helping them to develop life skills, build resilience, and achieve their goals within a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in accordance with their individual care and placement plans.
Build trusting, positive relationships that promote emotional wellbeing and personal growth.
Support children with daily routines, including education, leisure, health, and independent living skills.
Promote and maintain a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment.
Encourage positive behaviour through understanding, empathy, and therapeutic approaches such as PACE.
Contribute to the completion of risk assessments, incident reports, and care documentation.
Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every young person.
Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision to support professional development.
Be part of the on-call and sleep-in rota, responding effectively to any emergencies or incidents.
Essential Criteria
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it within 2 years).
Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential or social care setting.
Understanding of safeguarding, EBD, and trauma-informed approaches.
Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations.
Good communication, teamwork, and record-keeping skills.
A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
Undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience in an Ofsted-regulated childrens home.
Training in Safeguarding, First Aid, or de-escalation techniques.
Familiarity with The Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Full UK driving licence
