A leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their established and growing team. The consultancy provides professional services to a wide range of public and private sector clients across London and the South East and has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality construction and property projects.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play an active role in the delivery of projects ranging from £500,000 to £30,000,000, working across both Pre and Post Contract stages. You will work closely with Partner Quantity Surveyors and have the opportunity to contribute to a varied portfolio of public sector schemes, while also supporting the continued expansion of the business.
Duties:
- Procurement and Tendering
- Working with the JCT Suite of Contracts
- Measurement to NRM2 standard
- Project Financial Control and Reporting
- Valuations
- Cost Management
- Supporting Pre and Post Contract services
- Working closely with clients and project teams
- Assisting with the co-ordination and development of junior/intermediate staff where required
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- Minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience would be preferred
- Significant experience working within the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor will also be considered
- Extensive experience of Quantity Surveying and the duties listed above
- Previous experience working on public sector projects, ideally ranging from £500,000 to £30,000,000
- Strong knowledge of the JCT Suite of Contracts
- Good understanding of NRM2 measurement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using CostX or similar measurement software would be advantageous
- Flexible, confident and self-motivated
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
