Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an experienced Senior Motorcycle & Quad Mechanic to join a well-established and growing workshop team. This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled technician with strong diagnostic ability and a passion for working on high-performance motorbikes and off-road vehicles.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of motorcycles and ATVs, working on leading brands such as Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, and Polaris.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and full engine rebuilds
  • Work on engines, transmissions, suspension, and braking systems
  • Repair and maintain fuel-injected systems and ECU diagnostics
  • Prepare and maintain off-road vehicles (quads/ATVs)
  • Carry out performance tuning and custom builds (where required)
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate service records and job reports
  • Supervise and support junior mechanics and apprentices

About You:

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working on motorcycles and/or ATVs
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Experience with carbureted and fuel-injected engines
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and modern diagnostic tools
  • Relevant qualifications (IMI Level 3/4 or equivalent preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence (motorcycle licence desirable)

Desirable Skills:

  • Manufacturer training (Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki etc.)
  • Experience in performance tuning and custom builds
  • Welding or fabrication skills
  • MOT Tester qualification (Class 1 & 2)
