FBR are working closely with a recognised Hampshire based building envelope contractor seeking a full time Procurement Manager to head up their buying team.

The Role;
Lead and manage all procurement activities across the business, ensuring materials are sourced competitively while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and programme delivery.

Working closely with Estimating, Design, Commercial and Project Delivery teams, you will build long-term supplier relationships, negotiate best value agreements and ensure materials are available when projects need them.

This is a strategic and hands-on role, playing a key part in delivering complex faade and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities;
Procurement Strategy
Develop and implement procurement strategies across all divisions.

Source specialist faade systems, glazing, aluminium, cladding, fire remediation products and associated materials.

Continuously review supplier performance and market trends.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or programme.

Build strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers
Develop framework agreements and preferred supplier partnerships.

Monitor supplier performance, quality and delivery.

Carry out supplier evaluations and approvals.

Project Procurement
Review project specifications and procurement schedules.

Procure materials in accordance with project programmes.

Coordinate deliveries with site teams.

Resolve supply chain issues quickly to minimise programme delays.

Negotiate pricing, rebates and contractual terms.

Achieve best value across all purchases.

Monitor budgets and procurement spend.

Produce procurement reports and cost analysis.

Compliance & Quality
Ensure purchased products meet project specifications and relevant standards.

Verify certification including:
ICE
UKCA
Fire performance
Environmental certification
Building Safety Act compliance
Maintain approved supplier database.

Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 procedures.

You work closely with:

Commercial Team
Finance Department
Suppliers
Manufacturers
Clients where required
Skills & Experience;
At least 5 plus years experience in procurement within construction.

Strong negotiation skills.

Excellent commercial awareness.

Experience procuring building envelope materials an advantage.

Knowledge of contracts and supplier agreements.

Excellent organisational skills.

Ability to manage multiple live projects.

Strong communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Ideally experience within curtain walling or faade construction.

Useful knowledge of aluminium systems including Schco, Technal, Kawneer, Reynaers or similar.

Experience procuring remediation or cladding systems.

Understanding of Building Safety Act requirements.

Experience using procurement or ERP systems.
