Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established fire and security specialist in the search for a Fire Alarm Engineer to cover sites across Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Alarm Engineer seeking secure, long-term employment with training, career progression and a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities Service and maintain conventional, addressable, two-wire and wireless fire alarm systems.
Inspect and service fire extinguishers.
Carry out servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems.
Service and maintain AOV systems.
Diagnose faults and respond to emergency call-outs.
Complete remedial repairs where required.
Assist with servicing of access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems where applicable.
Support the commissioning of fire alarm systems when required.
Skills & Knowledge Required Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
Good understanding of BS5839 and BS5266 standards.
FIA and BAFE qualifications or accreditations are advantageous.
Knowledge of security systems and associated regulations.
Understanding of health and safety requirements, including asbestos awareness.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
Positive attitude, team player and a practical, solution-focused approach.
