At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world's leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Software Architect - ADAS to be based at our customer's site in Gaydon.

Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.

Role Summary: Lead the investigation, analysis, and resolution of complex ADAS software issues across vehicle, system, and software layers. Drive root cause analysis, supplier coordination, architecture corrective actions, and compliance with functional safety and cybersecurity standards while ensuring timely closure of program-critical defects and production escalations.

Dimension of function: The role of Software Architect - ADAS demands technical leadership in automotive embedded software architecture. It requires expertise in complex system ownership, escalation resolution, and strategic guidance across multiple technologies and domains. This position integrates deep knowledge of AUTOSAR Adaptive/Classic, Linux, software integration, and testing.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Issue Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Drive resolution of complex program blockers and software defects. Analyze system-level issues spanning:
    • ADAS application software
    • AUTOSAR layers
    • Linux/QNX platforms
    • Middleware
    • Vehicle communication networks (CAN, Ethernet)
    • Sensor integration
  • Perform root cause analysis for safety-critical and performance-related concerns.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination: Lead supplier issue resolution workshops. Coordinate with OEM engineering teams, Tier-1 suppliers, system engineers, and software developers. Escalate and resolve SOP-critical (Start of Production) software issues. Support customer-facing technical discussions and escalations.
  • Architecture & Corrective Actions: Review software designs and architecture impacts of reported issues. Define corrective architecture changes to address:
    • Performance bottlenecks
    • Functional defects
    • Safety concerns
    • Cybersecurity vulnerabilities
    • System integration issues
  • Ensure fixes align with long-term platform architecture strategy.
