Are you an organised and proactive project professional with experience supporting complex programmes, governance processes, and cross-functional stakeholders? We are recruiting for a Procurement Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of strategic procurement initiatives and business-critical projects within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Procurement team on a maternity cover contract through to 06 August 2027, helping drive operational excellence, governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery across multiple business functions.

The Opportunity

You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic programmes and projects aligned to wider business objectives. Working across Procurement and connected functions, you will help drive impact through effective communication, governance, risk management, reporting, and delivery support.

Acting as a central point of contact for Procurement teams, you'll support projects through key governance processes while ensuring delivery remains on track against agreed objectives, risks, timelines, and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enabling clear communication and early engagement across Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, House of Brands, Attributes, STA, Finance, Programme / PMO teams to align targets and manage impacts / changes
  • Acting as the primary liaison for Procurement, ensuring visibility of Procurement activity, managing risks and communicating changes through relevant governance forums
  • Provide support and coaching to team members on the gate process helping to prepare them for key gateways and in addition helping to define appropriate gate timelines
  • Supporting development and maintenance of all relevant reporting systems, ensuring alignment with relevant stakeholders and accurately documenting outputs, agreements, risks and timing
  • Management of required governance, including but not exclusive to; milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management
  • Facilitation and coordination of the relevant governance forums
  • Report on key programme metrics as defined by the area
  • Providing senior-level visibility of status and deliverables on behalf of the wider Procurement team and escalating risks where appropriate
  • Coordinating cross-carline and cross-functional associated activities, ensuring consistent communication and application of relevant programme gateways
  • Working with Procurement owners to ensure broader supplier & sourcing context is understood and communicated, identifying associated risks and potential mitigation approaches as relevant
  • Delivering accurate data and concise reporting for Senior Leaders, representing Procurement in governance forums
  • Helping drive issue resolution, process refinement and continuous improvement across all aspects of Enterprise Missions / Projects engaged with
  • Work on projects and work streams; from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management - where applicable
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience in complex project management and/or procurement environments, ideally in a cross functional / departmental capacity
  • Good understanding of Project Management principles and methodologies
  • Excellent organisation skills, forward planning and structured in approach
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills with clear understanding of how to facilitate cross-functional team work to meet objectives
  • Customer first mindset and effective stakeholder management at all levels
  • Effective communicator - able to present to senior levels of the organisation
  • Strong analytical, influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Highly agile with ability to manage and deliver multiple tasks within tight deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills specifically in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • To be proficient in the use of Excel to create reports and analyse data including manipulation of complex data sets

Desirable:

  • Demonstrable experience of process improvement and working in a project support role
  • Previous experience of working on projects from inception through to delivery
  • To be proficient in all O365 applications
  • SharePoint, JIRA, Plan View, Tableau experience
