As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
The Role
- Managing the commercial delivery of structural repair and specialist civil engineering projects from contract award through to final account
- Preparing and managing valuations, variations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Procuring and managing subcontractor and supplier packages
- Producing accurate CVRs, cost forecasts, and commercial reports
- Monitoring project costs and ensuring commercial performance targets are achieved
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance and profitability
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
- Supporting the Commercial Manager with strategic commercial decisions and reporting
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction or civil engineering sector
- Previous experience within structural repairs, concrete remediation, waterproofing, bridges, highways, or specialist civils would be highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of commercial management, cost control, and contract administration
- Experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle
- Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A commercially focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline would be advantageous
