We are working with our client on a major nuclear energy initiative and are looking to introduce a Project Commercial Manager to support early phase foundations engineering and owners engineer activities. Based on a hybrid model in Warrington, this role will focus on managing NEC Professional Services Contracts during the foundational stages of a significant, high-profile project in the nuclear sector.
- Contract Management: Oversee medium to high complexity contracts, ensuring obligations, deliverables, and performance are managed effectively.
- NEC Professional Services Contracts: Apply detailed knowledge of NEC PSC to structure, negotiate, and manage consultancy and engineering services agreements.
- Commercial Lifecycle Management: Manage contracts end-to-end, from initiation through delivery, variations, and close-out, ensuring commercial objectives are met.
- Contract Law: Interpret and apply contract terms, protecting our client's position and supporting robust commercial decisions.
- Public Sector Procurement: Operate within public sector frameworks, ensuring compliance with procurement rules and governance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present commercial and technical advice, influence decision-making, and constructively challenge scopes and documentation.
- Risk Management & Assurance: Analyse risks and margins of error, recommend mitigation strategies, and support assurance activities.
- Commercial Ethics & Judgement: Promote ethical standards, prevent corruption in supply chains, and exercise sound commercial judgement.
- Team Management & Leadership: Build and guide teams, resolve issues, and drive change to meet project and contract requirements.
- Quantity Surveying / Supply Chain / Legal Background & RICS/CICES: Relevant professional experience or qualifications that support strong commercial practice.
Work pattern: Hybrid - 2-3 days on site.
Rate: Β£360 per day
