We are seeking an experienced Head of Asset Management - Strategy & Standards to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Asset Management System (AMS), strategies, standards and operating model. This is a senior leadership role, providing enterprise-wide direction and acting as the functional authority for asset management strategy, standards and capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Enterprise and Sector Asset Management Strategies.
  • Translate business objectives into asset management strategies, objectives and initiatives.
  • Own and maintain the Enterprise Asset Management System.
  • Define asset management policies, standards, procedures and mandatory controls.
  • Ensure alignment with ISO 55001 and IAM best practice.
  • Develop and maintain the Asset Management Target Operating Model.
  • Lead capability, maturity and organisational improvement programmes.
  • Support portfolio optimisation, investment modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Provide strategic advice to Executive Leadership and Board committees.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing asset management team.
  • Act as the organisational technical authority for strategic asset management frameworks.
  • Establish scalable frameworks and methodologies for wider Group adoption.

About You

Essential:

  • Minimum 10 years' leadership experience within asset-intensive organisations.
  • Significant experience developing and implementing ISO 55001 Asset Management Systems.
  • Experience designing enterprise operating models.
  • Proven track record of strategic transformation and organisational change.
  • Experience engaging with Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Degree in Engineering, Asset Management, Business, Operations Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience leading ISO 55001 certification programmes.
  • Experience within regulated infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience managing enterprise capability and maturity programmes.
  • Chartered professional status.
  • IAM Diploma or equivalent asset management qualification.
