We are seeking an experienced Head of Asset Management - Performance & Risk to lead enterprise asset performance and risk management, ensuring assets deliver maximum value while balancing cost, performance, risk, resilience and sustainability throughout their lifecycle. This is a senior leadership role acting as the organisational authority for risk-based asset management decision-making, with significant influence over investment, planning and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise asset performance frameworks, measures and KPIs.
- Establish asset health, criticality and condition assessment methodologies.
- Monitor asset performance trends, vulnerabilities and emerging risks.
- Lead the enterprise asset risk framework and risk taxonomy.
- Develop risk assessment methodologies and risk appetite criteria.
- Escalate significant or systemic asset risks to Executive governance.
- Provide executive-level insight into performance, risk and investment requirements.
- Support risk-informed asset planning and capital investment decisions.
- Contribute to regulatory and strategic business planning submissions.
- Establish scalable performance and risk frameworks for wider Group adoption.
- Challenge asset plans where performance or risk criteria are not met.
About You
Essential:
- Experience applying risk-based asset management principles and risk modelling.
- Proven experience developing and implementing asset performance frameworks.
- Experience in strategic asset planning and capital investment.
- Degree in Engineering, Asset Management, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable:
- Experience with regulatory business planning.
- Experience leading enterprise risk management initiatives.
- Experience with scenario planning and resilience modelling.
- Chartered professional registration.
- IAM Diploma or equivalent asset management qualification.
