You’ll be joining a well-established legal services business specialising in debt recovery on behalf of leading financial services organisations. The company is committed to treating customers fairly and achieving positive outcomes while maintaining high professional and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:- Manage your own portfolio of customer accounts from initial contact through to resolution
- Contact customers by telephone to understand their financial circumstances and discuss their accounts
- Negotiate affordable repayment arrangements and settlement options in line with customer circumstances and regulatory requirements
- Handle sensitive and sometimes challenging conversations with professionalism, empathy and confidence
- Identify appropriate solutions while ensuring customers are treated fairly throughout the recovery process
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all customer interactions and account activity
- Manage your caseload effectively to ensure accounts progress within required timescales
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve individual and team performance targets
- Maintain high standards of customer service, compliance and quality across all customer interactions
- Previous experience in contact centre customer service, collections, debt recovery or a similar customer-facing environment
- Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Confidence negotiating solutions and handling challenging or sensitive conversations
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own caseload effectively
- A positive and resilient approach when dealing with difficult conversations
- A genuine desire to help customers while achieving commercial and performance objectives
