About the Company

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor operating within the roofing, cladding and building envelope sector. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and retail sectors, they are continuing to grow and are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team.

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of roofing, cladding and façade projects across London and the surrounding areas. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of roofing, cladding and building envelope projects from start to completion.
  • Supervise subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring works are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, quality standards and client expectations.
  • Promote and maintain high Health & Safety standards across site.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, plant and deliveries to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and the wider project team.
  • Carry out quality inspections and ensure works comply with specifications and industry standards.
  • Complete site documentation including daily reports, RAMS, permits and progress updates.
  • Attend progress meetings and communicate project updates to senior management.
  • Proactively resolve on-site issues to minimise delays and maintain programme.
  • Manage snagging and support the successful handover of completed projects.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope projects.
  • Strong knowledge of rainscreen cladding, composite panels, industrial roofing or external envelope systems.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office packages.
