Our client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of bathroom, kitchen and plumbing products, delivering to retailers and merchants across the UK. The Role
As a Multi-Drop Van Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Completing between 10 and 30 scheduled deliveries per day to retailers and merchants
- Driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle safely and professionally
- Loading your own vehicle before departure
- Loading and unloading products, including regular manual handling
- Obtaining proof of delivery using photographs and relevant paperwork
- Carrying out daily pre- and post-vehicle safety checks
- Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of your vehicle
- Refuelling vehicles when required
- Reporting any vehicle defects or accidents
- Assisting with unloading vehicles at the end of your shift
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery
About You
We're looking for professional, reliable drivers who take pride in their work. You will need:
- A full UK Driving Licence
- At least 6 months' commercial experience driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle
- Luton van driving experience is preferred
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements
- A good knowledge of London and the surrounding motorway network
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations
- A willingness to carry out manual handling as part of the role
