Solvit Recruitment are currently looking for a HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers.
This is an on-going role adhoc cover working up to 4 days per week between Monday to Friday. 9.25 hours per shift.
Location Walsall.
Induction followed by 3 days training.
This is a varied role.
Collection of Bulky Items.
Primary function, day to day driving duties.
Household door-to-door collections, commercial waste collections.
Street cleaning and associated functions.
Recycling collections, performance targets and reducing contamination
Garden waste collections, food waste collections, domestic refuse collections.
Recycling collection services.
Bulky item collections, bin delivery, mechanical sweeper operations, removal of fly tipping.
Pay £16.35 Per Hour.
Rolled up Holiday Pay £18.32
We are working with a local authority who are looking for an HGV Class 2 Environmental HGV Class 2 Driver, you will drive a refuse collection vehicle supplied by the Authority to carry out designated duties. These duties are to ensure that all waste streams (including Trade Waste) are collected.
This is a varied role and you will be working and assisting on your team, and on occasion you will be on the road sweeper.

Requirements.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Understand Health & Safety.
Comply with all Site Safety Instructions relating to all landfill sites, waste transfer stations and recycling merchant sites.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
Excellent communication oral and written.
Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
HGV Class 2 experience.
No DR, DD, TT, IN and not served any bans in the last 5 years.
No more than 3 Points.
