About the Role

Bolt Technical are supporting a growing UK-based electrical manufacturing business that designs and builds industrial electrical systems and control solutions used across a wide range of manufacturing and production environments, supporting customers in both light and heavy engineering sectors.

They are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a skilled engineering team, improve processes, and drive performance across design and manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role with strong influence over engineering strategy, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Oversee design of electrical control systems and automation equipment
  • Ensure compliance with relevant engineering and safety standards
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Manage engineering change control (ECN/ECO) and technical documentation
  • Support production through BOM creation and labour estimating
  • Deliver engineering projects on time, cost, and quality targets
  • Work closely with operations, procurement, and commercial teams

  • Engineering leadership experience in electrical manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of control panels, electrical systems, or automation
