Salary: Competitive

Hours: Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm with one hour lunch; although from time to time some flexibility to these hours may be needed. Please note as a candidate you will be required to be on site fulltime.

Reporting into the Head of SHEQ, you will provide effective administrative support to the SHEQ Team, ensuring systems, processes, and procedures are maintained to support the delivery of a professional and high-quality service. The role will also involve managing SHEQ documentation, maintaining accurate records, and supporting data analysis and reporting to enable informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

What will you do

  • Maintaining SHEQ systems, databases, and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for reporting and decision-making.
  • Supporting training administration, including coordinating requests, arranging venues, maintaining training records, producing certificates, and updating competency documentation.
  • Managing SHEQ documentation, including Safety Observations, TRACAs, Near Misses, HAV reports, audits, inspections, and investigation records.
  • Providing professional administrative support through managing correspondence, shared inboxes, telephone queries, and departmental requests.
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, internal communications, and SHEQ publications.
  • Supporting document control, printing, distribution, and stock management activities.
  • Monitoring and issuing of eye care vouchers.
  • Populating and monitoring the SHEQ System database with information for contractors.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and enhance team efficiency.

About You

  • A minimum of 2 GCSEs (A*–C / Grades 9–4) including English and Maths.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing demands.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A practical, proactive approach with the flexibility and willingness to support the wider team.
