Accounts Senior in Truro

As a Senior in our Business Advisory team, you'll take ownership of preparing accounts, tax returns, VAT submissions, and delivering insightful financial information to a wide range of clients. What you'll be doing day to day:

• Prepare financial information and year-end accounts for a wide range of clients, both businesses and individuals.
• Prepare management accounts, forecasts and projections.
• Prepare personal and company tax computations and VAT returns.
• Provide bookkeeping services, including the recording of income and expenditure, matching transactions to bank statements and summarising expenditure types.
• Monitor own performance on jobs against set budgets.
• Gather information to analyse and report on income and expenditure to support decision making, planning and control.
• Liaise with clients and colleagues across different departments in order to influence and achieve an effective outcome.
• Highlight technical or client-specific issues and recommend possible solutions.
• Supervise, support and coach less experienced team members.

About you:

• AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience.
• Accounting experience in a public practice environment.
• Experience in using automated accounting software and computer-based accounts and tax compilation programmes; plus proficient MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for managing your own and other team member workloads.
• Ability to be calm and efficient under pressure, and respond to client enquiries promptly, accurately and efficiently.
• Confident, professional and team orientated.
