As a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant you will work alongside experienced teachers, SENCOs and Speech & Language Therapists to help children develop their communication skills, confidence and independence. This role is ideal for aspiring Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Teachers, and SEND professionals looking to build practical experience.
The RoleAs a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant you will:
- Provide 1-1 and small group support for children with speech, language and communication needs
- Support children with Autism, speech delays, social communication and language difficulties
- Support emotional regulation to help children communicate their needs effectively
- Adapt classroom activities to ensure children can access learning
- Compassionate, patient and approachable
- Passionate about supporting children with SEND
- A confident communicator and relationship builder
- Proactive, adaptable and eager to develop new skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a wider team
This Speech & Language position provides:
- £85-£110 per day, depending on experience
- PAYE - Weekly pay
- Full and Part time roles starting in September 2026
