We are looking for an experienced and strategic commissioning professional to join Wiltshire Council's Adults Strategic Commissioning Team as a Commissioning Lead.
You will lead complex and high-risk joint commissioning, recommissioning and strategy programmes across the Adult Social Care portfolio, developing commissioning and procurement approaches that deliver high-quality, sustainable services and improved outcomes for Wiltshire residents.
The successful candidate will bring extensive commissioning experience, with a proven ability to lead complex projects, manage significant risks, influence senior stakeholders and operate confidently across different organisational teams.
You will provide leadership and oversight to commissioning officers, offer constructive challenge and support, and act as a key link between Strategic Commissioning, senior leaders and partners to drive service improvement and transformation.
If you are passionate about creating joined-up services that support people throughout their lives and have the leadership skills to drive change, we would love to hear from you.
Why us?
Wiltshire Council is a friendly, welcoming place to work, with a 'One Council' ethos.
Our hybrid working model means office staff are on site for at least half their hours, community-based staff carry out at least half their admin time in a workplace, and customer-facing roles work entirely from their service location.
We are committed to creating a workplace where positive relationships thrive and everyone feels engaged, supported and able to do their best.
We do not tolerate discrimination, bullying or harassment.
Everyone is expected to promote a culture of inclusion, dignity, trust and respect, guided by our vision and Our Identity.
