As a Trainee Surveyor, you will learn how to verify customers' requirements, take accurate measurements, and prepare information to help ensure successful installations. This role is ideal for someone who is practical, eager to learn, and interested in developing a career within the home improvement industry. You already have some experience in installing windows and doors, or a similar hands-on role, but full training and guidance will be provided.

What the role involves:

  • Learning how to arrange technical surveys with customers in line with company targets
  • Travelling within the region with support from experienced colleagues to complete customer surveys to a high standard
  • Learning how to take accurate measurements and prepare clear survey information and drawings
  • Confirming customer requirements and helping ensure they understand the products and designs they have ordered
  • Working with the wider Anglian team to report any changes or queries following a survey
  • Inputting survey details onto the survey network and learning how to order materials when required
  • Supporting the team with any issues or changes, ensuring these are dealt with in a timely and professional manner

What we need:

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • An interest in surveying, construction, windows, doors, or home improvements
  • Some practical experience in a trade, installation, construction, or similar environment
  • Basic IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to solve problems
  • A full driving licence
