We're looking for caring, compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistants to join our night team and help ensure our residents enjoy safe, comfortable and peaceful nights while receiving the highest standards of care.
About the Role
As a Night Care Assistant, you'll provide high-quality physical, emotional and social support to our residents throughout the night, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing while ensuring they feel safe, secure and reassured. You'll support residents with personal care, assist those who require comfort or reassurance during the night, complete regular wellbeing checks and respond promptly to any changes in residents' needs. You'll also help prepare the home for the day ahead, ensuring a calm, welcoming environment for both residents and colleagues. While nights are often quieter, your role is vital in delivering exceptional care and giving residents and their families peace of mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs throughout the night.
- Support residents with personal care, continence care, repositioning, mobility and hydration while promoting dignity, comfort and independence.
- Carry out regular wellbeing and safety checks, responding promptly to call bells and any changes in residents' physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Provide reassurance and companionship to residents who may feel anxious, unsettled or require emotional support during the night.
- Monitor residents' condition, accurately record observations and promptly report concerns to the Night Senior Care Assistant or Night Care Team Leader where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely care documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all resident information at all times.
- Assist with preparing residents for bed and supporting those who wake during the night or require assistance.
- Help prepare the home for the day ahead, ensuring communal areas remain clean, tidy and welcoming.
- Support with light housekeeping duties, laundry and bedroom preparation where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a calm, safe and supportive environment throughout the home.
- Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control, Safeguarding and all relevant health and social care legislation.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the General Manager.

Working Pattern
You will work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off.

Full Time Nights: 8:00pm - 8:00am (Average 42 hours per week) Bank Contracts Available

Nights: £14.31 per hour
