A company is looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join its modern Service Centre in Staplehurst. The business forms part of an independent family-run dealership specialising in prestige used vehicles and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a professional workshop environment using new equipment and facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standards while delivering excellent customer service and supporting efficient workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use diagnostic equipment confidently and apply a systematic approach to identifying vehicle faults.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle components to assess wear, damage, and replacement requirements.
  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard.
  • Conduct MOT testing where qualified (preferred but not essential).
  • Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure full functionality.
  • Provide clear and professional technical advice to customers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to support repeat business and referrals.
  • Work collaboratively with Service Reception and Workshop teams to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Monitor stock levels of parts and workshop supplies.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Vehicle Technician position.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (required).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
  • MOT qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • 1 Full UK Driving Licence (required).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
