The Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment within an industrial environment. The role combines both planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal site performance. You will work across a wide range of plant machinery and play a key role in driving reliability and continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- Carry out planned (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance
- Fault-find on motors, sensors, control panels, wiring, and drives
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Maintain and improve equipment reliability across site
- Work on conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Support installations and continuous improvement projects
Requirements of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience within manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability
- Knowledge of motors, sensors, control panels, and industrial wiring
- Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment
- Able to work Panama shift pattern (days & nights)
Desirable Skills
- PLC knowledge (Siemens preferred)
- Experience with AC/DC drives
- Exposure to automation and control systems
