The Opportunity

We are recruiting for experienced CNC Turner Setter Operators to join a long-established, precision engineering company who have been producing their own premium quality products in Tewkesbury for over 60 years. These are CNC turning-focused roles working on high-precision components in a clean, organised and well-equipped machine shop. The patented products you'll be making will go on to truly make a difference in people's lives. Pay & Shifts

Day Shift Monday Thursday: 4:30pm 2:45am

Salary: To give you an idea, the salary budget for these roles will be around £39,500 to £50,000 per annum but please do get in touch with your earnings requirements. The broad salary range is to welcome machinists with a wide range of experience so if you have just a few years under your belt or if you have more skills and experience, we will welcome your application. Salaries are reviewed regularly taking your progression into account and you will have the opportunity to earn a lot more than this.

What you'll be doing

  • Set and operate CNC lathes producing precision-engineered components.
  • Carry out full machine set-ups including tooling selection and program loading.
  • Work with Fanuc and/or Mazak controls (if you have used different controls before, you will be given all the support and training you need until you're fully happy).
  • Inspect your own work using verniers, gauges and measuring equipment.
  • Read and work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
  • Support continuous improvement and develop programming skills over time.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
  • Ability to complete full CNC lathe set-ups.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings and inspection tools.
  • The type of control panel you've used isn't important, we use Fanuc and Mazatrol.
  • Attention to detail and pride in your work.
