Electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer required for a maintenance role at a large, long-standing Telford based manufacturer. Offering competitive salary, excellent overtime availability and additional earning potential. You will be joining a diverse team of engineers from various sectors and become a valued member of the engineering team on the company’s day shift.
JOB OUTLINE
The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will provide electrical breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment as well as the service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.
THE ROLE:
- Continuous improvement of equipment, supporting PPM activities to a high standard
- Provide day-to-day electrical and mechanical breakdown support for the production team, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
- An active position in generating ideas for improvement, whilst ensuring current plant/equipment is maintained to a high standard
- Electrical fault-finding to a high level
- Installation of new machinery and control panels
THE CANDIDATE:
- Strong Electrical Maintenance Experience within a manufacturing/production environment
- Experience in fast-paced working environment essential
- A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure
- Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology
- Excellent electrical fault diagnosis skills
- Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC, HNC desirable
- PLC/Automation experience desirable but not essential
- Time served apprenticeship in electrical discipline advantageous
