We're recruiting on behalf of a valued client in Tamworth for a skilled Toolmaker to join their engineering team. This is a permanent role working a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern, offering excellent work-life balance and a competitive salary of £42,000.
The Role:
You'll be working in a busy manufacturing environment, supporting production by manufacturing, maintaining, and repairing tooling and associated components to a high standard. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, quick thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and repair tools and components using tool room machinery
- Respond quickly to tooling breakdowns to keep production on track
- Work from technical drawings or replicate existing parts
- Repair and modify extrusion and mould tools
- Support the maintenance team when needed
- Assist with tooling-related production issues and recovery
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure a safe, clean working environment at all times
