We are recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support a busy automotive distribution operation in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent night work, regular hours and long-term opportunities with a well-established operation.
The Role: You'll be completing Class 1 (C+E) store deliveries using box trailers for a major national automotive parts network. This is a key-holder role, so you'll be responsible for unlocking stores, delivering goods safely and efficiently, and unloading cages using a tail lift and electric pump truck. The role operates Sunday to Friday (no Saturdays), with an average of 50-60 hours per week, offering consistent, ongoing night work.
Available start times: 18:00-21:00, 21:00-00:00, 00:00-03:00
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 6 months' Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
- Comfortable working night shifts
- Confident carrying out key-holder deliveries
- Store delivery experience is desirable but not essential
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Pay Rates:
- Class 1 PM: £19.75ph (£22.13ph including holiday pay)
- AM: £17.92ph (£20.08ph including holiday pay)
- 6th Shift Overtime: £24.68ph (£27.66ph including holiday pay)
- Training: £16.50ph (£18.49ph including holiday pay)
Night Out Allowance: £31.00
Paid Induction: Your paid induction includes:
- Drug & alcohol test
- Theory test
- 45-60 minute driving assessment
- Manual handling and cage handling training
- Safe working procedures (SOP)
- Site tour
- 35 buddy shifts on nights
