A leading 3PL and distribution business in the Swindon area is looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to support its day-to-day transport operation, working on the PM shift. You'll be instrumental in supporting your team, upholding high-quality levels and performance standards, all while promoting best-in-class safety practices. As a main point of contact, you'll seamlessly interact with customers and colleagues, becoming an integral part of their ongoing success. Key Responsibilities
- Daily satisfaction of all customer transport requirements.
- Serving as a key management liaison for customer interactions.
- Optimising the coordination of internal fleet and subcontractors for maximum cost-effectiveness.
- Leading day-to-day driver management, focusing on team development, training, and operational efficiency.
- Strategic management of suppliers, including subcontractors, agencies and maintenance providers, to control operational spend.
- Ensuring peak reliability and presentation through regular driver, vehicle and trailer checks.
- Guaranteeing full adherence to all company internal processes, procedures, and O Licence legislative requirements.
- Compiling and presenting weekly management information and operational reports.
Key Requirements
- 3 years' experience in a similar Transport Supervisor / Transport Operations role.
- The ability to successfully manage and develop a team.
- Strong understanding of current UK transport legislation.
- Hands-on experience with O Licence compliance.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to transport operations and problem-solving.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £35,000.00 per annum
- Monday-Friday working pattern
- Hours 1:30pm - 10:00pm
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
