Service Advisor role for a busy dealership, working within a customer-focused aftersales department and acting as the key link between customers, the workshop and parts teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering a professional service, keeping customers updated and supporting an efficient service operation.

Must have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Location: Swindon

Salary: £30,000 basic plus bonus, OTE £36,000 per annum

Job type: Permanent / full-time role

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm, Saturday mornings on a rota

Service Advisor Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor or customer-facing automotive role would be advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with the confidence to build rapport and communicate clearly with customers
  • Excellent administration, organisation and time management skills, with good attention to detail
  • Able to work well as part of a team and liaise effectively with workshop, parts and wider dealership colleagues
  • Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to manage bookings, customer updates, invoicing and service paperwork in a busy environment

Service Advisor role:

  • Welcome customers and provide a professional, helpful service throughout their vehicle visit.
  • Book service and repair work, prepare job records and ensure all customer and vehicle information is recorded accurately.
  • Track vehicle progress through the workshop and keep customers informed with clear updates.
  • Work closely with technicians, workshop colleagues and the parts department to support smooth daily operations.
  • Explain required work, timescales and costs to customers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Support the aftersales team with administration, invoicing, service bookings and related paperwork.
  • Promote additional relevant services where appropriate while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
