Legal Secretary Litigation Full-Time | Permanent | Up to £32,000 (DOE) TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded and long-established law firm in Wiltshire that is looking to appoint a Legal Secretary to join its busy Litigation team on the outskirts of Swindon.
This is an excellent opportunity for a legal secretary who enjoys working in a varied and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality support to fee earners while delivering an exceptional service to clients.
The Opportunity Joining a collaborative and supportive Litigation department, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the team.
You'll be involved in a broad range of secretarial and administrative responsibilities, supporting lawyers across a varied caseload and acting as a key point of contact for clients and third parties.
This role would suit someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys building relationships and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Litigation team.
Managing fee earners' diaries, appointments and meetings.
Preparing correspondence using digital dictation and ensuring documents are accurately produced.
Opening and maintaining files on the case management system.
Preparing electronic court bundles and legal documentation.
Screening calls, managing enquiries and providing an excellent first point of contact for clients.
Liaising with courts, barristers, experts and other third parties.
Assisting with billing, file closures and archiving.
Monitoring emails, post and client communications, ensuring matters are prioritised appropriately.
Updating spreadsheets and case management systems with accurate information.
Chasing outstanding client payments where required.
Providing support across the wider department and assisting with reception cover when needed.
About You The successful candidate will have: Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly approach.
Exceptional attention to detail.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage a varied workload.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A genuine commitment to providing excellent client service.
Desirable Experience While not essential, the following would be advantageous: Experience supporting a Litigation department.
Legal Secretary Level 2 Certificate or Diploma.
Experience preparing court bundles and legal documents.
Knowledge of legal compliance, confidentiality requirements and the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
