This can be a physically demanding HGV Driver role, completing multi-drop deliveries to commercial customers. The position would suit an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver who enjoys being on the road, providing excellent customer service, and getting involved with the loading and unloading of deliveries.

Pay, Hours & Benefits for Class 2 HGV Driver:

  • £17.30 per hour
  • Overtime paid at £21.00 per hour
  • Monday to Friday working
  • 6:00am starts until finish
  • Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience required

Duties for Class 2 HGV Driver:

  • Completing multi-drop deliveries to commercial customers
  • Driving a Class 2 (Category C) HGV vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading deliveries using a tail lift and pump truck
  • Carrying out manual handling throughout the working day
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
  • Completing delivery paperwork accurately
  • Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

Requirements for Class 2 HGV Driver:

  • A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 6 months HGV / Class 2 driving experience
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience
  • Experience using a tail lift and pump truck is advantageous
  • A reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude
  • Good knowledge of Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport legislation
  • Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
