We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers.

We work with customers with a range of needs, including mental health needs, learning disabilities, young families and ex-offenders across a mix of properties and grounds.

As our handy person youll spend much of your time working across Swindon.

Typical day
Perform minor or emergency repairs, decorating and cleaning in properties and communal areas.

Handle tasks like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paint, changing washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns and clearing grounds.

Carry out regular fire safety checks.

Work closely with colleagues, contractors and customers
Liaise with Customer Service Centre and contractors to report and follow up on repairs outside your remit.

You bring
A team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm.

General maintenance know-how, including a bit of carpentry, basic plumbing and confidence with a paintbrush or broom.

Comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life.

To get from A to B, youll need a vehicle insured for business purposes.

Job details
Permanent, part time (30 hpw) Monday to Friday (can be discussed at interview).

Youll be based at Swindonand travel around the properties in this area.

Occasionally youll head outside the patch for all hands on deck situations.

Youll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
