As a Residential Support Worker, youll give vulnerable children and young people the safety, consistency and support they need to start moving forward.

You dont need a background in childcare.

Your experience may come from the Armed Forces, police, fire and rescue, ambulance service, prisons, security, youth work, care or another frontline environment where staying calm, following procedures and taking responsibility for others mattered.

Your responsibilities as Residential Support Worker Build trusted relationships with children and young people, helping create the stability and consistency they need.

Support emotional and physical wellbeing while safeguarding those in your care and maintaining a safe home environment.

Help with everyday routines, education, appointments and activities, encouraging confidence and independence.

Provide appropriate supervision and respond calmly and effectively when situations become challenging.

Contribute to the everyday running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, shopping and maintaining accurate records.
