The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of automated production equipment. The site operates 24/7 and includes:
- ABB and FANUC robotic systems
- Automated packaging machinery
- Conveyors
- Mixing machinery
- Presses
- Kilns
- Automated production lines
- Mechanical and electromechanical equipment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
- Mechanical fault finding down to component level
- Mechanical strip-down and rebuild
- Planned and remedial repairs
- Installation and project work
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Continuous improvement activities
- Supporting improvements to equipment reliability and production output
About You
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background and previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You should have:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a factory or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience fault finding down to component level
- Experience with mechanical maintenance, repair and rebuild
- A recognised Level 3 engineering qualification or above, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HNC or HND
- Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off Days & Nights shift pattern
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
