About the Role
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you'll manage your own portfolio of properties across England, including domestic and healthcare settings. You'll balance hands-on surveying and inspection work with the strategic delivery of maintenance, compliance, and capital projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct building surveys and pathology inspections across domestic and healthcare properties
- Diagnose building defects and produce detailed reports
- Prepare and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and budgets
- Project manage capital works projects from inception through to completion
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, with particular focus on fire safety and building compliance
- Work closely with Maintenance Coordinators and Service Managers to deliver effective maintenance solutions
- Manage contractor performance and quality standards
- Sign off completed works on-site
- Build strong relationships with contractors and key stakeholders
- Provide regular progress updates on projects and maintenance activities
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing multiple projects across social housing, social care, healthcare, or similar environments
- Knowledge of building regulations, statutory and healthcare sector-specific compliance, health & safety, and CDM regulations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong IT skills, comfortable working across multiple digital platforms, Excel and document management systems
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK, including overnight stays
