An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a medium-sized FM engineering maintenance company, working across a varied commercial portfolio throughout Merton, Surrey and South London.

The successful engineer will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of electrical systems across a range of commercial buildings. This is a hands-on maintenance role suited to an experienced electrician with strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities. There will also be some travel across other areas when required to provide additional support and cover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial buildings.
  • Maintain, repair and diagnose electrical systems and equipment.
  • Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and remedial works.
  • Complete routine inspections and ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with relevant regulations.
  • Complete accurate maintenance records and job reports.
  • Provide additional support across other contracts when required.
  • Work closely with the wider engineering team and maintain strong customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Level 3 electrically qualified.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong maintenance electrician background.
  • Proven fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills; this is not an improver position.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS background check.
  • Controls experience would be highly desirable, with candidates expected to demonstrate their knowledge at interview.
  • PASMA and IPAF qualifications would be desirable.

Package

  • Salary: £45,000
  • Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Working hours: 08:00-16:30
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
