About the Role

Abstract Recruitment is currently recruiting a Warehouse Administrator to join a busy warehouse operation in Sunderland SR3. This role is ideal for someone with previous warehouse administration experience, strong organisational skills, and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The successful candidate will support the daily warehouse operations by managing administrative tasks, updating systems, communicating with drivers, and ensuring smooth coordination between the warehouse, transport, and office teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Administration
    • Complete daily warehouse administration tasks and maintain accurate records.
    • Update and manage information using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
    • Process delivery and dispatch paperwork.
    • Monitor stock movements and ensure system accuracy.
    • Support with stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
    • Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Driver & Transport Communication
    • Communicate with drivers regarding deliveries, collections, and loading schedules.
    • Manage driver queries professionally and provide support when required.
    • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and signed.
    • Coordinate with transport teams to resolve any issues.
  • Warehouse Support
    • Work closely with warehouse operatives and supervisors to support daily operations.
    • Assist with organising workflow and prioritising tasks.
    • Ensure all processes are completed in line with company procedures.
    • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety within the warehouse environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous warehouse administration experience
  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Good knowledge of warehouse processes (goods in, dispatch, stock control)
  • Strong communication skills, including dealing with drivers
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
  • Good IT skills and confidence using warehouse systems
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the team
