CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join one of our key clients on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a critical data centre environment, supporting the operation and maintenance of essential building services and infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background, ideally gained within critical environments such as data centres, hospitals or other high dependency facilities. The role is based in Sunderland and operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, covering both day and night shifts.
Package:
- Competitive salary up to £41,000 per annum
- 13% shift allowance of £5,330 per annum, bringing total earnings to £46,330 per annum
- Additional £1,500 per annum upon attaining HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) status
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment
Requirements:
- Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- HV Authorised Person (HVAP) experience or willingness to work towards accreditation
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
- Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Must be able to pass a DBS check
