About the role

Home, a place where you belong. This is a great opportunity to join our team. You will support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you will support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to secure, long-term accommodation!
What you will do:
- Making sure that our customers' properties are homes they can be proud of, you will support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
- Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
- To support the next customers who need our help and for maximum occupancy, you will turn around vacant or void rooms/bed spaces/properties within set timescales. This will involve picking up a broom or paint brush!
- You will carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure we are compliant.
- You will also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

You have:
- A background in property management, but that’s not a deal breaker! Perhaps you’ve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?
- A can-do positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
- The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
- Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.
- A passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!
The practical bits:
- Working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
- Based at our service in Sunderland with occasional travel.
- Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy sign-ups.
- You will need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
