Earth Energy Education is looking for a self-employed, experienced school workshop leader to deliver workshops in schools and at solar and wind farms across the North of England. The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher or experienced educator seeking part-time consultancy work and must be willing and able to travel. They will have a strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability and biodiversity with a good knowledge of the National Curriculum. They will be able to lead inspiring and engaging sessions for a variety of ages, but primarily secondary school and +16 groups.
Required experience:
Qualified teacher status (minimum 1 year experience)
Essential criteria A strong background in education
Demonstrable experience working with primary and secondary school students
Familiarity with the National Curriculum
Ability to adapt educational workshops to all age groups
Willingness and ability to travel across the North of England
Access to a vehicle and a valid UK driving licence
Superb communication skills
Punctual, reliable, and professional
Positive, enthusiastic attitude
Competent IT skills with the ability to work online
Desirable (not essential)
An interest in current environmental ideas, renewable energy, and sustainability
Knowledge of and experience within the Higher Education sector
Understanding of the secondary school STEM and Geography curricula in England
Experience designing and presenting educational resources
Awareness of child protection, health and safety, and risk assessment procedures
Experience delivering online teaching or virtual workshops
